CDK Weekly - GraphQL, React and JRuby on CDK

Heya - time for the 9th issue of CDK Weekly. There was a new minor release of the AWS CDK (1.42.0) where besides from other things, Step Functions got some improvements. Having done quite a bit around Step Functions a few months back, I’m quite excited to see this. The overall progress can be tracked here.
Other than that, there were quite a few interesting topics this week. From type safe GraphQL, via JRuby as loophole for Ruby support in the CDK, to a controversial discussion about managing Infrastructure with React. Find this and more in the curated links below.
Cheers,
Sebastian

IDEA: React can be used to manage server infrastructure as well. Amazon CDK already has a TypeScript API—why not make a React shim for it? https://t.co/VV0G7wurOk
