Heya - time for the 10th issue of CDK Weekly. There were a few minor releases of the AWS CDK since the last issue. Besides from a bunch of features and fixes, there was a significant improvement for testing.
In other news, AWS just launched CodeArtifact, a polyglot package registry perfectly suited for distributing AWS CDK packages within an organization.
There was quite a bit of content since the last edition of this newsletter. Feels like the CDK ecosystem is gaining traction. Enjoy a practically free Lighthouse Performance check, an ephemeral file sharing service, a time bomb construct to nuke your stack automatically and more in the curated links below.
Cheers,
Sebastian

AWS CDK - DidYouKnow!☝️

We talk about CDK and Serverless a lot!

But did you know its very easy to create an Autoscaling Group and read EC2 User data off disk with AWS CDK? 😍

An easy way to quickly spin up and configure those EC2 Instances! ♥️

I have to admit that #awscdk is by far the most developer friendly infrastructure-as-code framework I ever worked with. Especially with its built-in support for multiple environments. IMHO this is currently one of the biggest advantages over other cloud providers.
